Todd grew up in Glen Ellyn and attended Glenbard West High School, then attended Wheaton College and graduated with a B.A. in History. He then attended Valparaiso University School of Law and obtained his JD. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar on May 13, 1988.
While in law school, he was a law clerk for Sachs & Hess in Schererville, Indiana. He also was a law clerk for Pretzel & Stouffer in Chicago, Illinois. Following graduation, he accepted a position with the law firm as an attorney, focusing in the areas of insurance and medical malpractice defense. Following his opportunity with Pretzel & Stouffer, he had a long and successful career in the securities industry, gaining valuable experience in building and managing teams.
He has experience practicing law in Kane and DuPage Counties, focusing on the areas of criminal defense and personal injury. He joined Ramsell & Associates to focus on his passion, which is DUI and criminal defense.
He is an avid fan of Navy football. In addition, he enjoys attending White Sox games, golfing, hiking, and studying historical figures. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his son who is in college.
He is a member of the DuPage County Bar Association and the DuPage County Criminal Defense Association.
